Password Sentry :: Presales :: Operation

Password Sentry Operation 1. User connects to your website secure directory, and authenticates by entering their username and password. User's metrics (IP Address, Browser Parameters, and Geographical Parameters such as city and country) and username are logged by Password Sentry. The time / date and referrer are also logged.

2. If the account is suspect (i.e., total number of logged unique logins exceeds [Threshold]), (a) the user is suspended, (b) the user is redirected to another URL of your choosing, (c) incident report is emailed to you, and (d) the incident is logged (viewable via your Password Sentry Admin Control Panel). You do have the option to only receive Incident Report Emails and not suspend the user, and vice versa. You can also configure Password Sentry to deny access on the basis of Geographical Location, ISP, and IP - for example, redirect users from certain countries, and/or ISP's and/or IP Addresses to URLs of your choosing. None of our competitors provide this feature!

Users CANNOT evade monitoring or tracking! ALL users are tracked! You CANNOT bookmark around monitoring, and ALL pages and subdirectories in the secure directory are monitored by Password Sentry. And unlike many of our competitors, Password Sentry is NOT an IP counter application. Password Sentry counts unique logins using a number of metrics: user metrics (IP address and ISP), browser metrics, and geographical metrics (city, country, latitude/longitude). This algorithm ensures that false positives (false suspensions) and false negatives (failing to identify password sharing) are negligible.
