Server Log Monitoring

As a good security measure, you should monitor your server logs on a regular basis: server access logs and error logs. Typically this is done via a web server control panel like cPanel. Your Web server keeps track of every request, error, etc. So, it is highly recommended that you review your logs regularly for signs of out-of-the-ordinary behavior. Then bring any such behavior to the attention of your web host, who may choose to act upon it if it presents a security threat. Bigger and more damaging threats can often be detected in the logs before any damage is actually done. You can never be too proactive and vigilent when it comes to web server security.
